Rental Rescheduling Policy

We strive to make every rental an unforgettable experience. We guarantee every reservation and work hard to ensure that our inventory is ready for you when you arrive. When planning your trip, please take the same considerations and let us know as soon as possible if your plans change. We will contact you if there is an issue with your reservation.

  • Rental reservations are nonrefundable because upon booking confirmation your rental bike in the fleet is guaranteed.
  • Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and are processed at the sole discretion of Puerto Viejo Bike Rentals.
  • Rescheduling requests within 48 hours of your scheduled booking may be subject to a fee of up to $5 (per bike rental) to reschedule.
  • Reservations may be rescheduled only once, subject to the discretion of Puerto Viejo Bike Rentals. Reservations made within 48 hours of a scheduled tour are final and cannot be changed.

All Bike Rentals are Rain or Shine. Welcome to the tropics!  All of our bikes are equipped with fenders and we have rain gear you can loan.

If there are extreme weather conditions which are so bad that it is not safe to ride a bicycle, for example; very high winds, thunderstorms, excessive heat or cold, or other severe weather conditions, then the tour will be cancelled. If you cannot reschedule your tour for another day then a refund will be issued. 

Refund Policy for New & Used Merchandise

Refund Policy for Merchandise

  • No returns, exchanges, or refunds on any of the following items: Tours, rentals, gift certificates, labor, deposits, special order items, used bikes, or nutritional items.
  • New Bicycles are ordered specially for you, if you don’t like the bicycle and would like to return it, we will accept it and refund you your money within a day of the purchase date.

Used Bicycle Return Policy

  • Used bicycles are sold “as is” and are not eligible for return. Used bicycles are tuned to their best condition before being sold, and are never sold with structural/critical defects. Buyers are encouraged to test ride thoroughly before purchasing.
