Cancellation Policy
We strive to make every rental an unforgettable experience. We guarantee every reservation and work hard to ensure that our inventory is ready for you when you arrive. When planning your trip, please take the same considerations and let us know as soon as possible if your plans change. We will contact you if there is an issue with your reservation from our end.
- Rental reservations are nonrefundable because upon booking confirmation your rental bike in the fleet is guaranteed.
- Cancellations can be made within 72 hours of your booking, and are subject to a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made on the rental start day due to customers change of mind, are not refundable.
Rental Rescheduling Policy
- Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and are processed at the sole discretion of Puerto Viejo Bike Rentals.
- Rescheduling requests within 72 hours of your scheduled booking may be subject to a fee of up to $25 per e-bike rental and up to $10 per bicycle rental to reschedule.
- Reservations may be rescheduled only once, subject to the discretion of Puerto Viejo Bike Rentals.

All Bike Rentals are Rain or Shine. Welcome to the tropics! All of our bikes are equipped with fenders and we have rain gear you can loan.

Refund Policy for Merchandise
- No returns, exchanges, or refunds on any of the following items: Tours, rentals, gift certificates, labor, deposits, special order items, used bikes.
- New Bicycles are ordered specially for you, if you don’t like the bicycle and would like to return it, we will accept it and refund you your money within a day of the purchase date.
Used Bicycle Return Policy
- Used bicycles are sold “as is” and are not eligible for return. Used bicycles are tuned to their best condition before being sold, and are never sold with structural/critical defects. Buyers are encouraged to test ride thoroughly before purchasing.
